I’m originally from Karachi. Now please don’t ask me “Halat kaise hain Karachi ke” (How is the law and order in Karachi). So I came to Lahore for work in the October of 2016. I had no friends in Lahore and knew very little about the city and everything that it has to offer. Right from reaching the office on the first day to visiting the realtor to help me rent a house, I solely relied on Google Maps for my commute. And I’m so very thankful to all the contributors for making this app such an amazing gift of human intelligence and collaboration.
So it’s now the time to give back. I started contributing by helping people with information such as if a place is suitable for kids (being a parent I know you can’t take your kids to every other place in Lahore) or it’s proper infrastructure making it accessible for everyone.
But Lahore is famous for its culinary brilliance. So my real passion on Google Maps is to discover and help others discover great places to enjoy food with family. From old bazaars to modern shopping malls, I’ve left no stone unturned. I love to write reviews about the food and add new restaurants.
