Since India is one of the oldest countries of the world, It is obvious that basic infrastructure of cities here is very poor as compared to other countries. From my childhood, I wish India could have a modern and glittering city like NYC, Shanghai, Singapore etc. When I moved to Noida (Delhi-NCR) for my graduation, I was very happy and impressed by its infrastructure and started exploring its history, how and why Noida was was established 30 years back and what is its future. This is where Google Maps came into picture.
Whether it is about studying its master plan to sector wise details, from exploring which area is commercial, residential, green belt to which area needs improvement in traffic and infrastructure, Google Maps helped me a lot. Soon I have become a known volunteer for authority here to help them understand real issues of the city and make city better in every aspect, be it traffic management, infrastructure development, illegal encroachment, future planning etc.
Today Google Map has become the most important and used App in my mobile for my personal use as well as helping my city Noida to become a true global city in every aspect.
