My Melbourne trip and few tips not to miss out important things

After Sydney Seagulls modeled at Sydney Harbour, I went to visit Melbourne and my friends. I was solo so I went to stay with my friend in Springvale. There are a big group of Cambodian students living there. However, we also went to visit many places such as the shopping street, Melbourne university, Brighton Beach and Yarra River.

However, I had missed few places here which made me regret not going while I was there, such as the Brighton Bathing Boxes, go inside the library, checking out the botanical gardens and few more interesting places.

Tips to prepare for your trip:

According to my experience, not well prepared may lead to missing important areas/places of attractions.

According to LGs @PaulPavlinovich there are so many things to see and do in Melbourne. Please check this out: https://goo.gl/maps/fBnfG9oxTQJQHDhq9

@JSharma thank you my friend for the agreement. I am kind of regret not knowing the Brighton Bath Box in advanced. I mean, my trip was just to visit my friend but I could make the most of it. I was almost there - very closed but did not go.

@PaulPavlinovich hi Paul, look at your list, I did not just miss few interesting places. I missed tones of them! Yours is such a detailed! Just one more question, how do I create a list on Google Map? I tried but not succeed.

Hi @Sophia_Cambodia don’t feel bad, Melbourne is huge it takes a while to see the place, if you’re ever in town again please let me know. I’ve been known to show other Local Guides around town if my schedule permits.

In the mean time these directions will give you everything you need to make a list of places on Maps that you can share (or keep private) https://support.google.com/maps/answer/7280933

As @PaulPavlinovich mentioned, Melbourne is massive and to see even just the highlights would take many days. You did well to see what you did @Sophia_Cambodia and Brighton is certainly one of the beautiful seaside places in the city which I have been to many times. Great photos of your trip and I must visit the Love lock at Yarra River to see if I can find the secret lock you left

@AdamGT hahaha, you are so funny but thank you. Sadly, I did not leave any love lock. If you find Sophia, it is probably not my name. I am Sophea :slightly_smiling_face: . P.S. I was curious like you so I went there to check what names are kept there

Those locks are regularly removed @Sophia_Cambodia @AdamGT

@PaulPavlinovich ah, I see. I heard about France about the removal - so they do it here too, how regular? I can see how heavy they are…

Yes I was aware of that @PaulPavlinovich so will have to move quickly to find the @Sophia_Cambodia (sophea) one

  • @AdamGT in any case, my travel there was in 2015 - 5 ys already. I was wondering how many times have they removed the locks since many people have crossed this bridge.*
