I was driving my usual afternoon game drive when i was told on the radio that there was a potential leopard sighting at the junction of tau link and tswene drive. So I drove down tau link from the north as everyone else approached from the west on twene drive thinking it was heading in their direction. To my pleasant surprise I stumbled upon this gorgeous leopard walking up the road directly towards me. With the Golden hour of light to my back I was lucky enough to capture this photograph before he walked past me and dissapeared into the bushes. No one else believed that I found the leopard until I showed them the photographs.

This is a very nice shot and so clear. How did you manage to get so close to this leopard without fear and did it make any attempt to grab you?

Thank you for releasing my post from quarantine. I am a field guide (a.k.a a safari guide) which is how I was able to get that close to the leopard, my training has given me plenty of knowledge on how to position my game viewer in view of the leopard but out of its way. It’s a huge passion of mine just as my photography is. I use a nikon z 50 with a sigma 150-600mm lense and a z mount to af/s adapter so that my camera body can receive the lense
I am looking forward to contributing more to the guides connect community. And hearing from the rest of the community
