Food is a basic necessity of life and getting tasty delicious food is a blessing indeed. My endeavour as a local guide has been on discovering those places that are rich in taste and varieties and putting them on google maps. My job requires me to travel to different places in India and my love for food takes me to new cuisines.
The taste of India is rich in heritage and at the same time diverse. Different regions have their unique specialty in food and beverages. The Puttu Kadala Curry of Kerala or Hyderabadi Biryani or Butter Chicken from Punjab, et.al have deep rooted significance. As a local guide I feel happy to put their presence on google maps and making them accessible for the world. Particularly I am fascinated by varieties of chicken dishes. There are certain centres of excellence for particular chicken dish like - Chicken Biryani (Hyderabad), Butter Chicken (Murthal/Punjab), Champaran Matka Handi Chicken, Chicken Seekh Kabab from Delhi, Gravy Chicken (Odisha/West Bengal), Bamboo Chicken in North East part of India, Amritsari Chicken Masala, and many more. The erstwhile mentioned items are indicative only and more delicious dishes may also be found at some other places.
I feel the uniqueness and specialty of a particular variety of food should be preserved and celebrated by their lovers. My reason for sharing new places having certain specialties and serving unique taste is to make them accessible to the like-minded people. The google maps platform helps me explore places and I believe it could do the same for million others as well.
