My love for being a local Guide started to blossom through the use of Google maps in general. My sense of direction is not know for being the best, nevertheless I love to get around my city, my country, and when I get the opportunity why not the world as well?
But more important than knowing how to get from place to place is knowing where you really want to go. SHaring the journey with who you love and be able to apreciate the path the most is what being a local guide is all about to me.
Before being an active Google guider, me and my boyfriend started to keep a journal about the new restaurant and places to eat we discovered in the city, we used to rate the places and the experience as a whole.
When I steped upon Google Guide I saw an opportunity to share our point of view and love for São Paulo, and of course food.
I also enjoy taking walks with my cats, and yes, that isn’t the easiest thing to do. Google Guide has being helping me, I’m able to find places in wich they are allowed and If There are any othres rules, such as the need for leashes. Those are the informations I like to share the most.
I might not be the most experienced local Guide but I’m willing to learn, meet new people and places and share my passion for my city. My ultimate goal is to show my comunnity and the world what’s so great about every inch of this city, there is a lot of culture and beuty in the streets. What I love the most Abou being local Guide is the possibilty to help others find what great expirience they want to start next.
