I am a Level 5 Local Guide from Bangladesh. I recently joined Local Guides Connect and I want to make my profile public so that others can see it.
I already turned off the “Restricted” option from my profile settings and also checked “Display my Google Maps profile link publicly” while joining. But still, my profile seems to be private, and others can’t view it.
Can anyone please help me with this?
How can I make sure my profile is visible to others on Connect?

Your settings in Connect are fine, and the link to your profile in Google Maps is visible in Connect.
To make your Profile visible in Google Maps you have to Follow the steps mentioned here;
Make sure that the “restricted profile” switch appears like the screenshot below
I am a new contributor from a rural area in Bangladesh. I recently created my new Gmail account and started contributing to Google Maps with great interest and honesty. However, I made a mistake that I now understand clearly.
After opening my account, I quickly added 15–20
reviews and uploaded many photos. Although the photos were taken using my own phone and even some with help from my uncles, I now realize that uploading too many in one go was not a good idea. I also added two new places (not fake), and I physically visited around half of the places I reviewed with location on.
As a beginner, I did not properly understand the guidelines or contribution pacing. I now understand that sudden, high-volume activity may seem suspicious even if the content is real. That was my mistake, and I sincerely apologize.
I noticed my profile has become restricted, and others cannot follow or see my contributions. I really want to correct my mistake and continue contributing honestly in a better and more rule-abiding way.
Could you kindly consider reviewing my profile and helping me make it visible again to others? I am learning from this experience and promise to contribute more thoughtfully and gradually in the future.

Have you tried already the steps indicated by me in your previous topic?
Can you kindly share a screenshot showing the status of the switch where we can see that your profile is unrestricted?
Don’t worry, making a lot of contributions on a single day is not a problem, if the contributions are genuine.
Also Google Maps do not restrict the profiles, this only depends of your privacy settings.
I also want to inform you that, as you already started an identical topic yesterday, to keep Connect organized I am merging your two topics together

I would like to inform you that I already turned off the “Restricted profile” option about three days ago. Since then, I also updated the Google Maps app, cleared cache, and ensured all relevant settings are properly configured. Still, my profile shows as restricted to others, and no one can view my photos or contributions.
Additionally, I want to assure you that all the photos I uploaded were taken by me personally using my own phone. I physically visited each location before uploading, and tried to contribute genuine and helpful content for the community.
I’ve attached a screenshot showing the current status of the “Restricted profile” switch, as requested.
Please help me resolve this issue if there’s anything else I need to do from my end. I really want to continue contributing in the right way and make my profile visible again.
