My local guide level has been 9, but yesterday I saw on my iPhone app and PC that it was 8.

@YoungtaeK thank you for reporting this issue meanwhile, some glitches may happen sometimes and after a few hours or days it may go back to normal. I will also suggest to check if the apps are updated with latest versions.

Also sometimes there might be a belated synchronization of your points, as @EmekaUlor kindly noted, so if you notice this happening, force log-out of your profile, clear the maps history, cache and any saved cookies and try logging in again.
If you notice that your loss of points is not related to the intentional deletion of your activity, please tag me again and we will look into it.

I didn’t know that deleting 3 or 18 months of web or app activity had anything to do with losing the local guide level and points, and Google didn’t explain this to me.
If it was this important, shouldn’t it be got to warn the message on the page before deleting?
Is there any way to recover?
