Hi, my name is Emília, I’m 23 years-old and just finished college! I was born in Fortaleza, Brazil, but I lived in Tempe, Chicago and Recife. Now, I’m back to Fortaleza, yey!
I always loved to meet new restaurants and visit local stores. However, when you are new in a city, you don’t know the good places… The first time I left home, was to move to Arizona. Another city, state, country! I didn’t know anything about that place, but thanks to Google Maps I started to read the reviews of the places, stores, restaurants and after meeting the places in person I also did my own reviews. And this became a non-stop hobbie.
After living for 1 year away from my home, I came back to Fortaleza and the buildings of my university had changed, but they were not update on Google Maps, so I started to adjust the Maps to the reality, and now, the area that was just terrain has roads and buildings!
In January of 2018, I moved to Recife to spend 6 weeks in a Summer Job and started to use Google Maps to know where to eat everyday. I discover so many awesome restaurants that even locals didn’t know about!
Being a Local Guide for me is helping people to find places they are going to love, is to share local stores that need this visibility to grown and a hobbie that a maintain since June of 2015.
