I hail from a small town named Kotkapura from Punjab. I am a Banker by Profession and an explorer by interest. I am a nature lover since my childhood and always love to explore new places.
My journey with Google maps started a way back in 2010-11 when I started using Google maps for navigation on my Phone and it was always helpful. Although there were some times when I was not able to reach my destination because I was sent through wrong roads. This situation was very rare. But now the All have been very well developed and corrected that it is fun to use google maps.
The Journey
The Journey of Association with Google maps started in December 2016 with my first contribution of Review and in March 2017, I attained the Local Guide Level 5. It was a great achievement for me. More than Two Years have passed and many more to go for this association.
Areas of Interest
My main areas of interest on Google maps was Reviews and Adding Photo graphs for new places, Soon I started contributing in other fields of Google Maps too. I became Master Reviewer, Master Photographer, Master fact finder too. Then I joined Google Street View Photography. It was a new dimension for me and I loved it from the core of my heart. Today My Photographs views are more than 14 Million and out of which 2 Million are for 360 degree photographs.
Being a Banker, I know very well the value of the Money to an individual especially on holidays when banks are closed because of holiday. Thus proper mapping and locating ATMs on the Maps along with usual availability of Cash was an important issue and I contributing in this field too by answering certain questions/answers for ATMs in my area.
On LOCAL GUIDES CONNECT Portal, My very first post regarding ROCK GARDEN CHANDIGARH was featured in home page. That was really a great moment for me. It was my inner feeling that my work was appreciated by my fellow LG friends and Connect Moderators.

In fact, I am nature lover and my passion to explore new and new places and taking photographs make me addicted to Google Maps. The application on my mobile that I have used the maximum times is google Maps. it is for contributing as well as for my usage to find places. In my job, many times I have to find certain locations, Google Maps is the best companion for me in this event. The Accuracy of Google Maps always attracted Me.
I was provided with an opportunity to interact with a lot of new Friends from different countries on this platform of Localguidesconnect I know some other will surely be my age long friends too.
In 2018, I organised a meet up in Chandigarh, and in 2019 again tried to organized meet up in Jalandhar, in both cases although the experience was not very well, but I found a very good friend LG @deepakjhic
Even I suggested some of my friends to use Google Maps and they are Local Guides Today. It gives me a level of satisfaction.
I want to make this world a better place to live (In fact a more precise and well mapped place to live) with the help of Google Maps.
