My journey as Local Guide

My name Mohammed Ali from Sudan , I am professional photographer . My journey simply started during my teenage as I borne in undeveloped country when people need a lot of help and guidance to reach their destinations .That need was pushing me every day to work harder to lighten our ways and not be only local but global guide as well .

My hobby started by taking pictures to whatever unique and pretty in my small home town like museums , historical places , mosques , wildlife and cities centres .

After sharing these pictures on google map , I got many liked and millions of reviews which make me feel thrilled to help other people . That also motivated me to continue my profession as a photographer, so I moved Austria to continue my study and started my journey as an international guide and photographer. My first challenge in Europe was life, people mentality is different, speed of life much faster. Obviously, people need will be different, so I decided to keep going my journey learn more and renew my enthusiasm to improve the world through the map. This great task pushed me to take more photos to the hot traffic spots in the world. My contribution did not stop at this point but also included editing maps, correct the missing information, adding new places to the map, answering questions about businesses and joining the local community.

My experience to be as a successful local guide summaries by first be yourself, listen to your community need and improve your technical skill and share your idea with other local guides. Its very neat seeing all different focuses of the local guides combined to complete each other. I hope I will have the chance to attend connect live 2019 to learn more and share many ideas about improving the map in the way serve more handicap accessible business, recycling locations and marks in the rural spots that didn’t have much of an infrastructure on maps.

I would thanks Google for this opportunity which give me the chance to give my feedback, teach us to be a better local guides and renew our enthusiasm for improving the maps and discovering first city to visit in the US “San Francisco “. So glad by your generosity.
