I am a mom to two grown up daughters, one is married and the other is in her twenties and based out of Mumbai. My journey as a local guide on google commenced by chance and due to them. I was very enthusiastic and keen to show my girls different places during weekends, which is a ritual which we still follow. Hence, even when there was no internet I was fond of travelling and visiting places, monuments, food outlets, places of worship. Along side the same, I would also urge them to write their experiences down and ensure that they read it out aloud to me.
As time passed and the awesome Google maps came into being and existence, everything became so much more accessible. Now it was far more easier to plan the weekend trips and quarterly holidays, but along side planning the same I also started providing my feedback on a real time basis on the places I visited in google maps section. What gave me the moral boost and instant gratification was the views, likes and sometimes comments from people who read my reviews. It made me feel happy that my reviews were guiding others in whatever way they could and people found it useful.
Now its a part of my system to provide my feedback and review on almost every place that I visit be it locally, nationally or internationally.
Thank you GOOGLE MAPS for existing and making our life so simple and bringing us altogether in a unique way. It is a boon for travel enthusiasts like me and millions around the world
