My inspiration to become a Local guide was my native place - city of Pernik. This is an ordinary city in Bulgaria, you will not find it in the tourist guides and you will not meet crowds of tourists here. But you will meet very happy and kind people - some of them live here like me, but some of them are just accidentally passing trought the city. My wish was to be useful to them - to know what places to visit, where to dine, where to drink a cup of coffee in a pleasant setting or where to buy an interesting book. That’s what I like in Google Local Guide - it lets you get to know the most ordinary places on the planet, spend a nice time there and learn something useful. Because everybody knows what to visit in Paris, but not everybody knows what to visit in Pernik. Well, I know and I will tell you - start with the Underground Mining Museum, the only one on the Balkan Peninsula. Bulgaria is a small beautiful country with wonderful scenery - mountains, rivers, sea … Unfortunately, it is unknown to many people and undervalued by others. I’m glad you saw and appreciated it properly.
