my home town

Hello, local guides

I am very passionate about all religious temples. Why because, the world’s history is inhibited in it, and we can also see all kinds of cultures and the lifestyles of the ancient peoples. It is visible in the view of sculptures, beautiful monuments, paintings and in many ways, which is easily understandable to everyone.

Being the religious person and enthusiastic in exploring the tradition of our Indian culture, I want to discuss The Lord Chennakesava Swamy temple in my home town. This was located in the town of Eluru, in sannivarapu pet, near “Bala nerastulla patasala”, West Godavari district, Andhra Pradesh, India. It was an ancient historical temple constructed in 1859 by Jaminder of Nuzvid samsthanam.

The best views of this temple were:

  • “Galli Gopuram” (monumental entrance tower), consisting of architectures, statues to resemble the ancient history.
  • Lord Chennakesava Swamy idol is carved by using a single black stone.
  • In that place itself, Shri Annapurneswara Swamy temple (Lord Shiva) was also situated.
  • Those all pillars were also made with a single stone.
  • This is also a place for extraordinary sculptures and monuments
