Hello there Google maps team!!!
I’m new to the community,
My name is Sivan Gombosh, I’m 37 years old, I live in Israel and teach children with learning disabilities.
I was so excited to get the email from you and the opportunity to attend Connect Live 2020!
So…
What does the Local Guides program mean to me?
For me, being a Local Guide means **giving, sharing and spreading happiness!**I started my involvement as a Local Guide 2 years ago. I love taking pictures everywhere I go, and tend to look for the special and interesting points of view. So, why not share it and be helpful for others around the world??
The program defiantly has enabled me to hone my photography skills, it makes me happy to see that my photos are getting many views, 1.7 million to be exact!! (yes, I’m checking daily ).
When I’m taking a picture, I’m thinking about the place, it’s vibes and the way it makes me feel. I’m handling it with a lot of respect, I always edit the pictures before, and I upload only the best ones with my review.
Being a local guide allows me to provide great photos and honest feedback about places I’ve been to. The ranking for being a local guide is another bonus, that makes it fun! It encourages me to contribute more and provide useful information for people in my country and all around the world. As a freelance woman, I love the fact that It also helps businesses, small ones especially, to get more costumers and exposure. Getting a replay from them always makes me happy.
I would like to end my application with a Photo of mine that got the most views (587,106 and counting…). it was taken in a great authentic Georgian restaurant at Rishon Lesion, a city in Israel (less known than Tel Aviv or Jerusalem), Enjoy!
Hope to meet you all at the connect live event!!!
Sivan
