My Google Local Post: Why I love finding local gems -- ghetto fab or underrated mom and pop shops?

I live in SoCal with tons of different vibes and community in each area. There are areas with rich culture from ethnic communities, or old local history. From history of hippies moving and living in Pasadena, to film and music thriving in Hollywood, to a rich Asian community in San Gabriel Valley. Each section of just Los Angeles is sectioned by different taste, fashion and music. I love find local gems and ghetto fabulous mom and pop shops because I feel like they hold the key to a local’s heart and stomach. These places can be a shop, restaurant, bar or space. And they tend to be under the radar, or underrated. I am located in LA, so definitely love to try any new suggestions.

Let me know if there is any local gems in your neighborhood you love!

My current quest: Finding place that makes authentic, home-made frozen tamales, dumplings, xiao long bao, and non-frozen tortillas for easy home re-warming.
