The most interesting thing I did as a local guide is to visit
Giethoorn, in the Netherlands. is an almost entirely pedestrianized country in the northeastern Dutch province of Overijssel. It is famous for the canals furrowed by a large number of boats, the paths, the cycle paths and the old thatched houses. It is located on the edge of a section of the Weerribben-Wieden National Park, a marshy area once used for the collection of peat and rushes. Next to the park, the Museumboerderij 't Olde Maat Uus is an agricultural museum which illustrates the history of the region.
