Last February I visited the city of São Paulo for the first time and had a blast with all of the variety that the Brazilian metropolis has to offer! Hope to be back soon to enjoy even more of the city in post-pandemic.
Samosa & Company, Indian Food.
I tried indian food and loved! Samosas, Chicken Tikka Masala (the one in the photo) and gulab jamun for dessert. The bread they serve is also amazing.
Pastel at Feira da Liberdade
A Brazilian street food snack that you can’t miss! I had one at the popular street market in the japanese neighborhood of Liberdade.
89°C Coffee Station
A cozy coffee shop also located at the Liberdade neighborhood.
Mortadella sandwich at Mercadão
A classic in the city, the most famous one is found at the Municipal Market of São Paulo.
Bauru at Ponto Chic
Another famous sandwhich in the city is the traditional Bauru: cheese melted in a bain-marie, slices of roast beef, tomato and pickled cucumber in a French bun.
This one is from the Ponto Chic store that I visited, the restaurant chain responsible for the creation of the bauru sandwhich in the 30’s.
