I’ve just completed my first week in Qatar, based in Doha.
Last time I was here only for a one day visit was back in 2012. I’m impressed with the changes and the introduction to the underground metro service.
I’ll be getting out and about more often in coming weeks to photograph interesting points of interest.
Beautiful architecture! I (like many Americans) know little of Qatar! Can’t wait to see more photos…

Personally, I think that this area of the world has some of the most beautiful and majestic skyscrapers that have ever been created. Wonder how many floors does this one have!

The Burj Doha reminds me of a narwhal! The last photo in your shared album reall highlights the diversity of architecture. Are you on a work trip in Doha or a more semi-permanent stay?
Thanks for message @JordanSB . I’m here for a minimum of 12 months but most likely longer. My third Middle East Country to live and work. Yes there is a lot of diversity here, so I’m looking forward to venturing out and seeing it all.
for message @AdamGT . Yes it does have windows on each floor from floor to ceiling. The entire outside is surrounded by the steel framing and shading. You can see that in the Google Photos.
Thanks for message @BorrisS . The building has 33 office floors. I’ve been working on the 23rd floor and views are great. I’ve been up to 33rd and views are just as great.
