My first RAW image ‌‌- One photo a week #5

Hello Local Guides!

Here I’m again to share one photo per week. And this one is fresh :slightly_smiling_face:

After some advice from you, I decided to try the RAW mode and see how it works. Actually, I don’t fully understand the benefits of using it. I could edit some aspects of my photo, but I can do it in JPGE too …

One problem that I step on was the Lightroom app. Because I was uploading a RAW file, I had to pay for premium app. Unfortunately I’m not willing to do it yet. Them I found another app called “Snapseed”, which seems to be part of Google. I could use it and the result is this…

This app is good, but not like Lightroom. And one problem is that I don’t know my camera configurations for this photo. I don’t know if the app lost it or if it’s because the RAW mode.

I’ll continue doing my tests for next week. And I hope to build a great portfolio this year.

For those who want to see my last images, I’ll be posting them at the end of my actual post.

Hello @RogerOhayashi

Interesting post. While I have heard the term used before, I have to say I don’t know anything about RAW so will follow your journey to learn about it. Later I will also go back and read your earlier posts. In the meantime, what camera are you using and I apologize if you mentioned this in one of your earlier posts.

Hi @AdamGT

RAW is a camera mode which give you more options to edit later. Many people mentioned it in the previous posts. See the answers too!

I have a Nikon D3200 and the kit lens, 55mm

Thanks for joining with me during this process. Let’s see where we go :slightly_smiling_face:
