I am glad I made it. A big shout out to all those who are not Local Guides from Nigeria who made it, especially; Erna’s adventures and Rona Kopik. I am not very sure about my spellings and @yagokdYago who clarified that her name was only a shortened version of her name and the 'King of Virtual meetups’ himself; Anil Singh sir, @Anil6969 from India. Thank you sir for always making out time
I was happy to be in your midst. I like the work @UchechukwuEnem is doing. Your passion can light up a whole street!
My take home from the Meet-up was; “try as much as is possible” not to upload Selfies.
I know you said “do not upload selfies” but I rephrased it in my mind.
Why is that?
The maps is not so much about you as it is about the details, about the location you are sharing details on
For me; it is important to upload selfies. When I am looking to visit a place, I do not care as much about the place, as the lessons I will be taking home with me. How better to make these judgements than by watching your expression? How better to see your expression than on a selfie?
I think we should know where to draw the line. All in all, this is a very simple journey and it’s a life-long journey, more than focusing on the dos and don’ts, let us enjoy it.
Actually it was A nice and educative meet up. Well organised and well moderated thanks to @UchechukwuEnem for being superb with the steering. Thanks to Sampson @HelloSamsonR for those insightful lectures,
@Austinelewex for ur fine contributions and for muting and keeping the forum free from noise.
Our friends from Indonesia, Gambia, India etc we appreciate your presence.
@JoegatesChidi when I am invited to a place, I try to get there at least 5 minutes earlier, it may be longer depending on the kind of event and how much time it will take to familiarize myself with my environment.
I introduced myself immediately I joined the meeting, yesterday. As pre-scheduled, the meeting was to end by 4p.m. I intended introducing myself before 4p.m. again for the benefit of those who joined later but the opportunity never presented itself.
I have always admired the Head Wrap worn by women in Africa. It looks very Regal and Stylish. Could I request you to do a meet up showing us how it is worn? Thanks & Regards
