Last week, I had the pleasure of attending my very first Local Guides Connect event at the Google headquarters in New York City — and it was incredible!
It wasn’t just about being at Google (which was already amazing!), but also about meeting people who, just like me, share this unique hobby of contributing to Google Maps. I love how we all enjoy sharing experiences — whether it’s a food adventure, discovering a new park or museum, a fun karaoke night, or even exploring an unexpected gem we didn’t know we needed in our lives.
I left the event feeling inspired — not only to keep sharing my experiences on Google Maps but also to be more active here on this platform. There’s something powerful about helping others discover the world through our lens.

It is such an unforgettable experience attending a Connect Live event for the very first time. I remember my first time in 2018 - it changed me and opened my eyes and helped me be a better local guide.
