My first ever Hiking Trip to Dajti

Thanks to Google Photos “Rediscover This Day” I woke up with some wonderful pictures of my first hiking trip to the top of Dajti Mountain in Tirana, Albania.

The view to the top of Dajti

Through the Dajti National Park, which is on the slope of the mountain is huge and wild.

But you have to take the cable car first to come to the starting point.

I remember taking no pictures there because of the scratchy windows but the view down was stunning.

My tour started behind an abandoned building. A leftover from the times of the famous dictator Enver Xhodja. Someone (he was the last person I saw after I left the cable car, a little creepy he was staying at the abandoned building as if he was there to show me the path) told me the building was a resort for party members.

Stay Weird - obviously not possible to be, during the oppression of the dictatorship

I had to follow that path into the woods.

It was the beginning of spring. Exactly today 2 years ago and it was possible to smell the soil and the flowers.

I loved the softness of these flowers growing out of this rock. A sign of strength, resistance and willpower. Keep focusing on your dreams and you will get it.

It was amazingly quite and peaceful. A wonderful bright and sunny day.

It was a beautiful walk between soil, stones and rocks.

But not all rocky soil is the same…

this is a very common view in Albania. It is one of the 264.000 bunkers. Built during the hard times of oppression. But I believe this topic needs a chapter on its own

…still not there ?

Finally arrived on the top some might not believe but I saw a real eagle flight. ?️

This was an amazing experience such as the stunning view behind the hill, down to the next village.

この小さな写真の話に同行してくれて、本当にありがとうございました。?

Hello, @JacobLED

Thank you for sharing photos of your hiking. That mountain looks like it feels good! The landscapes are also nice.

Btw, this post is not written in Japanese, so please edit it to proper language setting. Thank you for your understanding.

Beautiful photos and landscapes @JacobLED ! I like to take botanical photos as well, cataloging different flower and fungi species I find on my walks.

Thank you very much @Istillwannahavefun

Indeed has Albania a very interesting landscape and nature. Going more south east they have a lot of interesting plants and eatable flowers. You’ll see on the local markets many unknown herbs and mountain tea sorts what we don’t know in European market.

I’d love to be more specific too, but I am not yet equipped with a proper camera.

It was really amazing @Ant_Bad_Yogi I needed something around 2-3h to get on top and then back down, I dunno

I believe that this is the meaning of it. To get lost with time.
