The most interesting thing I’ve ever done in my 3-4 years as a Local Guide was my first contribution. It was a picture of a salad I ate in a small restaurant in Providencia, Santiago de Chile. Why did I have the idea to upload this picture, if I never contributed before? My god, you should have tested that salad. It was so good, and I was a bit frustrated the place was not popular at all! After that amazing lunch, I felt in debt with the restaurant, so I thought the best I could do was to spread the love.
There are two reasons I find this event interesting, because (i) it was the introduction for me to being a Local Guide, and (ii) it got 17k views (please consider the questionable quality of my picture)! Just imagine how powerful I felt when my first review got all those views in almost no time and also how happy I felt about all the people that went to the restaurant because of me.
