My first climb, Hoverla Ukraine

When we went on vacation to the Carpathians, we immediately decided for ourselves that without climbing the famous Mount Goverla, the trip would not be complete! And it was a very right decision, although it was not easy, but we did it and I am glad that I was there, this is an amazing place!

And to make it easier for you to understand what is useful to you, see below:)

And so, to climb Hoverla, you definitely need a fighting spirit, the knowledge that you will need to overcome many hundreds of meters up the very rocky climbs. Do not forget to prepare well, take warm clothes, a raincoat, food and water. At the pit stop you can refuel. To help yourself (if this is your first climb up the mountain), take walking sticks, they will be very useful to you. And when you get up, all this beautiful view will be worth all your efforts!
Enjoy delicious warm tea or coffee that the local climbers will carefully prepare for you, take pictures, take off the videos and just enjoy the moment, because then there is no less difficult road down!

Hi @volkov_commander ,

Welcome to Connect!

I am curious how much time did you hike to reach the peak? During which season did you go there? It looks very high but I am sure it’s worth visiting.

I love to hike as well and last year I’ve climbed one peak in my country - Malyovitsa and reached the famous Seven Rila Lakes, if you have heard about them. The peak Malyovitsa was very hard to climb because it’s 2729m. high. It took three hours in the way. We should go very early in the morning to can have enough time.

If you plan to visit one day Bulgaria, I recommend you to visit those two places.
