As we celebrate small business week
I want to share some of my favourite contributions towards small businesses.
- Place creation-
This is most important once as it is the first step for the business to be visible around.
Also educating owners how to use Google my Business is on my list this year 
- Adding store front photos -
Since the pandemic started, I used the time to capture store front picture of usually busy places, I feel great that many such photos are featured photo of those places.
When we add store front pictures, it gets easier for people to recognise how the place looks like.
It shows if the place is accessible 
The store front of many places consist of proper address as well as phone number.
(Adding phone number takes time so I usually add store front pictures with contact information)
- Adding photos of products -
Small business owners are quite versatile, many small shops around in my location sell different types of products, when we add photos of products (pictures of shelf, food items, display products etc) it gets easier for everyone around to know what kind of products are available. I also add photos of food which I order.
- Adding photos of menu -
Many places which are newly opened do not have the whole menu or some of them have an outdated menu, when I visit restaurants I take pictures of menu as it helps to decide where to eat and which restaurant offers a particular cuisine / dish.
I also noticed many of my fellow local love to contribute photos on map.
- Adding helpful reviews -
Writing review is one of the way to appreciate as well as share your experience with others,
Reviews also act as a recommendation and many people rely on our reviews at times.
Adding detailed review sharing about the information related to accessibility, attributes, price and safety is of great help.
I feel proud to be the first one to add reviews for local shops around me, I think it is a way to motivate others to write review for local shops as well.
- Answers -
As my usual visit is to the same places multiple times during a month I frequently answer questions, I also see many changes happening in the questions, currently most of them are related to COVID safety, dishes, price and accessibility.
- Making list -
For my love for food I keep making lists of local restaurants and eateries.
I usually look out for vegetarian food, family friendly and pocket friendly places to add in my lists. Lists are great to save your favourite places and share with others when they asks for recommendations 
- Edits -
Since last year I have made many edits, as there are constant change happening around related to business hours, duplicate or multiple places, name / map marker errors.
If summed up I like to contribute in all ways possible, cause our little help always goes a long way
