My favourite place..it's a long story

After making my application video I thought this question deserves to be answered in a post as well.

I have lived in many places over the years. I left home 27 years ago. I just calculated this number and honestly I find it scary. When I left I never had the intention of leaving, it was a pure chance.

I lived for a long time in London, UK. There, we moved a lot all the time so I managed to see all the diverse and wonderful parts of London. Those were the wildest years of my life!!

From London as a base I traveled to Wales and Scotland, looked for the Loch Ness monster, saw Stonehenge up close, Sailed to the Isle of White… During those years we did a car trip from London through France, Monaco, Italy, Greece to Bulgaria. Another summer we did the same but with buses and trains. Unfortunately it was during the war in Yugoslavia so some really unexpected problems happened that turned into another adventure I am not going to write about this time…

About 10 years ago it was time to settle down and raise a family so we moved to Ireland. At first we lived in the East near Dublin, now we are in the West in Connemara, Galway county.

To be honest I have hardly ever lived in one area for so long. As you can see I have been to quite a few places over the years.

I can tell you one thing. My favourite place is where my heart is. And what makes it special is my family being there with me. It could be anywhere.

Since right now we are in Connemara, Ireland this is my favourite place. I walk outdoors every chance I get taking photos and I am completely in love with the landscape and the most amazing scenery I have ever seen. I admire the local people I work with every day and am proud of all the work I have done here as a Local Guide. Those are reasons enough for me.

Right no my favourite place is definitely Connemara Ireland.

Unless with my family we move and we settle somewhere else …Then I think I will fall in love all over again…

Finally, can see another person here in Ireland. You are definitely far away… however, it is great to see another person posting something about Ireland as well.

Love your post.
