My favourite Fukuoka City

Hi Local Guides Connect!

I am Clare Luan. I am a Chinese who have lived in Fukuoka, Japan for over 8 years now.

I really like the city as a citizen.

Many foreigners always mention Tokyo or Osaka or Kyoto when they thought about going to Japan. But in my opinion, small compact city Fukuoka should also be a good choice!

You have never experienced what it was like to ride a bicycle for 20 min to go to the city center and work, or the airport is just 15 mins by train from the city center, or walk to have lunch at a area full of delicious restaurants if you live in a big city.

So, as a local guide, I really want to introduce the city to more people, foreigners or Japanese alike!

This photo is a capture of my google map with marks of my favorite places.

Its a small city but is concentrated with lots of fun! That is why even after 8 years I am still not bored with any places. And I am still finding new things every single day.

My goal now is to look for more delicious restaurants and fun places in the city, and hopefully introduce to more people who want to experience a different life style in Japan.
