-Brief review: The Museo Universitario de Arte Contemporáneo (MUAC) is a public museum and as its name indicates it focuses on that of national and international contemporary art, it is located south of Mexico City within the university campus of the University National Autonomous of Mexico (UNAM).
Its rooms have hosted around 150 exhibitions with national and international artists with collaborations from milestones in the art world such as ·Yves Klein·, ·Anís Kapok·, ·Ai Weiwei·, among others; The MUAC is an emblematic building from the moment you get close to it, its incredible glass design attracts visitors just as a mirror would, the glass gives a renewed image perspective and is a landmark of the country’s culture.
-It is my favorite museum for various reasons one of them is that from the outside I observe the glass with which it is made, I have always thought that glass is an enigmatic, solid, sharp and transparent material, resistant and still so delicate and fragile inspires respect for its multiple uses and forms, from my perception it seems in itself an individual with its multiple facets and portrays the essence of the museum that is constantly changing with the exhibitions.
I have visited it on several occasions and it continues to impress me with every detail of its construction, together with the wonderful exhibitions that it presents among my favorites in the exhibition by ·Rubén Ortiz·, his work which recovers the uniqueness of historical processes in the internationalization of art Mexican by opening perspectives and avant-garde with a very interesting idea since it connects and intersects pop art with design and advertising strategies that promoted a radical change, revealing stories in the background with their works together with the visual appeal of their works.
Without a doubt, it is a museum that I will visit on multiple occasions because I live in love with its corners as an architectural structure and its amazing exhibitions promoting the continuous generation of reflection.
