Water Melon is a quite popular fruit in the hot-humid climate of Khobar, Saudi Arabia and is available throughout the year in all the supermarkets, stores and local vendors. During the hot summer season the local vendors will stack up their pickup trucks with the sweet watermelons and sell them in different parts of the city and along the highway road. There are many watermelon fields in Saudi Arabia and the best part with regard to the cultivation of watermelon is that the crop requires very small quantity of water to grow the sweet juicy watermelons.
Many customers do also buy the watermelons from the supermarkets and there they will have the option to taste the sample before buying the product. China, Turkey, Iran and Kazakhstan are the major producers of watermelons and they export the produce to many countries. The crop of watermelon grows well, especially, during the hot and dry weather conditions along with the sufficient sunlight. Many crop cultivators have recommended that in order to get the best yield of watermelons, cool nights and warm days are the most ideal conditions.
