In 2020 my my favorite food this chestnut heart.

It is a dessert made with chestnut in the center, chocolate around the most part of it and cream.
It has the shape of a chestnut but it also seems to an heart.

It is the best food in 2020 for me because it is a news, specific of the region and produced only in the autumn season, so it is not easy to try it.

I eaten it at Pasticceria Lintner, Bolzano, Italy.

I’ve never tried this dessert. It looks so tasty!

Also I’ve never tried chestnut. There are a lot of chestnut trees, but we don’t eat them. Maybe it should be a different kind of chestnut? :person_shrugging:t3:‍ :smiley:

Hi @JaneBurunina

We have at least 3 kinds of chestnuts.
The one that are not eatable is the Aesculus hippocastanum, while the other that we eat are the Castanea. As you see in the photo of the linked pages, are two different kind of tree and chestnuts.

Ah exactly! We have there is the first one. We call it Horse chesnut. And also it’s a one of the symbols of Kyiv. The two another are absolutely different :blush:

@FlavioDA Thanks for joining in the challenge! I see that the dessert is so good that you couldn’t stop yourself from eating it before you started to take your photo! :joy: It’s interesting to come across a chestnut based dessert as it’s not very common. Even in Asian cooking, we do use the water chestnut (I think) in some desserts too! It’s got a nice light and crunchy texture. :yum:
