My eyes are bigger than my stomach

I love sayings, and I love to see how they translate into different languages. But moreover, as a proud Spanish, I love food!

Therefore, it shouldn’t come as a surprise that my favorite thing to share in Google Maps is pictures of food

I like to inspire people to visit new places by attracting them with the promise of pleasure, yes, food as a pleasure. The one you find when biting a juicy watermelon in a summer afternoon, or sipping a warm mocaccino on a winter morning, or letting a soft cheesecake melt in your mouth at any time of the year. And of course, I usually take a look at pics of food posted by other people before making a reservation at any restaurant, as I think a picture paints a thousand words…

In Spain, eating is part of our social life. You would rarely meet a friend without making an appointment over breakfast, lunch, coffee, dinner or - my favourite of all times - brunch. And the outcome of the appointmnet will depend largely on the quality of the food you had. So when I travel somewhere, or someone comes visit me, selecting the right restaurant for every meal is a big part of the planning! Here just a few examples:

  1. Pistaccio-yoghurt ice-cream from Gelateria del Porto @ Antibes, France (my previous hometown)
  2. Takoyaki from Yatai Market @ Madrid, Spain (my current hometown)
  3. Solianka from Kladovaya @ Saint Petesburg, Russia.

Check-out my profile to see more of my favourite treats in Madrid & around the globe!

Best,
