Hey Local Guides contributors! 
My name is Julian. I am from Bogota, 
and I am very exited writing this up.
I am a digital marketer so this is SO nice and empowering for me: to participate actively in a community that help many people.
I started at this program as soon as it came out. When I was a little child, I used to play every possible second. I got used to earn points while I was playing.
My real main reason to join, at first was: getting points! 
In fact, Facebook tried to do something like Local Guides, but its UX was no so good and had not the live map experience that made of Local Guides so special. I stopped rating in that program and focused on Google’s one.
Some time after, I started to realize that some contributions, ratings or even many photos were inaccurate or ‘just a matter of earning points’. In that moment, I changed my mind about Local Guides (Contributors app at first). I liked to earn points, but I love to help other to achieve their goals.
Everytime I have the chance to take a picture, answer a question or review a place, I do it without hesitate.
