My experience with Local Guides de Google <3
Hi friends, I write this post to share my experience with local guides. In first place, I started using it because I found it really interesting. I always use a variety of services that google offers me, but I feel that I am contributing and not just using a service. You know, I don’t only looking for a direction , right now I am giving my opinion and information. I like to contribute to the local Guides community and to Google Maps.
In second place, anyone can be a Local Guide, no matter where they live or what language they speak. Because I feel that this is a truly global community and I feel included. I really feel that I am helpful. I really love to help other. When I respond a question, I do it because I hope that so everyone can benefit from the answer.
Also this experience make me feel that I am original, I post my own photos, that I take when I am walking for the city, in my vacation, etc.
It’s fun because you’re gaining points and passing level, and you can get points with five different alternatives: add a new place, upload a photo, add a review, modify the wrong information or answer questions about the place. If it is not the photos, you can contribute comments or add places that do not appear on the map, in this way it also helps others.
For me being a Google Local Guide helps others by providing information about businesses, places of interest, cultural centers, parks. I think that makes you jump out, you leave a very clear trace of the places you frequent, of the environment in which you move, of your tastes in terms of restaurants, or your leisure and cultural options.
Finally I really think that being a Local Guide can be useful for me as a journal of the places I’ve been and to go back to places I liked or recommend them to friends. And if you get involved as an active member of the Local Guides community, it is also an opportunity to attend the meetings they organize and meet new people with interests similar to yours.
I am really happy, I feel very motivated and I am very surprised when I look that people are visualitation my pictures, my reviews. I sure that I will continue driven by my passion for sharing tips and info, solving problems, and helping others explore the world.
The world can be very beautiful if you wish and every discovery can fill you with joy. You can also go to all the places all the time. For me it is the symbol of freedom, to explore, to discover and to dream.
