So i attended my first local guide meet up during the weekend and it was amazing connecting with people who genuinely cared about getting businesses on the map and helping them get discovered easily should anyone search for them. We toured some parts of Gbagada phase 2 which was really exciting. It was a great pleasure having one of the top google guide, Sanya Odare hang out with us and dish out advises and tips. And of course our host, Samuel Kori was awesome, warm and friendly. We took pictures of places and interacted with ourselves. Taking photos of business places was both fun and a little edgy because we had to constantly explain to everyone that we were taking pictures for volunteer duties. Evidently in Nigeria, everyone is a suspect, people start freaking out when you take out your phone and start randomly taking photos especially in this age of Social Media where news and trends about businesses can fly around. It was a beautiful experience for me and i look forward to hanging out in more meet ups and possibly hosting one too.
Nice outing. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks for reading

Yes o… I had an awesome time meeting the team of local guide and the Oracle of Local Guides, Sanya Oluwadare … He was so friendly and taught us a lot of things. Seeing him was a great inspiration.
