Hi everyone!
My name is HGN and i am from Colombia.
I joined Google Maps years ago and became an active user as a local guide since i’ve discovered i could do more than just watching street view or asking for how to get from point A to point B; What could i do? What do i know than others may find interesting, helpful or just fun? Based on those questions, i’ve started adding places on the map, which is very useful when you live in a small town and everything is set for you to do something: that new bakery everyone is talking about, the new restaurant with live music, that secret place in the forest that you must see; but, how to let others know what to expect? Pictures!
Personally i am not the best photographer, just an amateur with the same problem that others: You took good pictures of your friends and family, but no one seems to know how to take a proper picture of you; so, there was my next decision: I’ll take pictures of places and things i love and in the process, i’ll help people to know what to expect without taking away from them the magic of discovering for themselves, and that’s how i went everywhere trying to capture the big lines of the reality to give others the desire to discover.
Soon after that i felt the urge to look from above, that way i could get an incredible opportunity to discover a new place, where nobody has set a foot before, thus, i was able to give to every Google map user a whole new perspective, something to makes you feel humble and blessed:
Taking pictures and letting others to know my country is what i like the most on Google maps. Thank you for reading!
