I am a Local Guide Level 6 and only 400+ points away from Level 7.
There’s this place which has shifted from one major road to another within the same locality. I have tried editing that place using two options - “Permanently closed” as well as “Relocated to”. I have even uploaded proof by way of a photo of the sign post at the old location mentioning that the place has been shifted. I don’t remember how many times I must have suggested these edit, but each and every one of them have been rejected and “Not applied”.
Almost each and every other edits of mine have been approved except for this place. Why and what should I do to get it approved? Thank you.
Hi @Shafak it is possible the place is claimed which means LG edits are limited as they are controlled by the business themselves to some extent. The best way to correct issues that are persistent is to send feedback within the Maps app. It can take a long time for the request to be processed so be patient.
Assuming that place is controlled by the business themselves, wouldn’t it be counterproductive if they don’t change and still use an non-existing place?
Also, I just went and read the reviews and it seems there are a few LGs who post review only for the sake of increasing their LG level without actually verifying whether the place is still existing or closed down. There are a few reviews AFTER the place has been closed down. So, do you think this is what is preventing my edit from being approved? Also, how do I send feedback from within Maps app? Thank you.
