I am having issue while editing my village name, which is not correct. Every time it is rejected. Could anyone of you pls help me to get my village name correct.

Local Guides cannot edit, nor add, such data
This is something that actually only Google Maps team can manage
You should report the issue to the Google Maps Help Community , where they can escalate the issue to the Google Maps team.
Make sure, for your post to be considered, to add a link to an “official” documentation (governative) where it will be possible to see the correct name of the Village.

As I said already, only Google Maps can edit the Map Layer, so there is no way for a Local Guide to do that, but, most important, we are invited to edit ONLY POIs of which we have a personal knowledge.
What if a spammer ask for your help to change the name of a legitimate business and, not knowing the place, even if not intentionally, do you help them put spam in maps?

I understand what you’re talking about, but that is not a scam. As for as I know, these are local guides who approve/verify the edits. Yes you are right anyone having knowledge of my area can approve it. Why I posted here, so I could find a local guide of my area to get help. Hope you will understand that.

I perfectly understand what you say, @realSaleem , simply there is no way to edit the name of a village. That’s why I was addressing you to the Google Maps Help Community, to escalate the issue

There is no other easier way than the Support forum for this issue. You may want to collect a few official documents for sending them via the link to send feedback option(as normal users try). But there is no time limit for the feedback section and it may be waste of time.
What @ErmesT suggested is the perfect way to get this issue addressed very fast. I might request the maps team from this thread too but the personal documents aren’t allowed here.
Note: Before posting to the support forum make sure to keep handy any official document (PE will ask for it, do not share any website link or maps for the same).

There are 150 millions of Local Guides that are contributing, you just need to be patient
