My edit was accepted after 4 years!

After 4 year that I’m trying to fix a name of a POI that I visit a lot and is very close to my heart it was finally accepted today!!!

I have sent countless edits for this place and every time trying to fix the name.
I tried putting it with the website, tried changing only 1 language, tried sending a feedback and basically almost everything that was mentioned to me in this awesome community but nothing helped until today.

A few days ago I complained and asked about it here in connect, read a lot about it and then I decided to try again (just days after being denied for a few times).
Somehow in a magical way it worked this time

My thoughts about it:

  • Maybe the “Digital trace” got better after me writing a public post about it here?
  • Maybe one of the Maps moderators saw my post about it?
  • Maybe I was just super lucky?
  • Maybe someone wanted me to write this post?

Did this happen to you?

Any ideas about how the timing ended up being so magical? :tophat:

That’s amazing @JoniG . I have some going out as far as 12 months so hoping your accomplishment rubs off on me, even just a little bit :slightly_smiling_face:

That’s a good news, @JoniG , Congratulations

In the end, your effort paid off. Patience is an art that all local guides learn to practice sooner or later, but two years is certainly a long time. Some of my edits have been pending for over a year, and this post gives me hope

Thanks guys
It was 4 years of getting the Not applied many times but eventually it was accepted.
I believe that the post here was the “Helper” somehow.

FYI
I got the email that is was accepted but still nothing changed on the map since yesterday.
Hopefully it will change soon.
