Recently we have visited Kerala, India, during our two week vacation. My kids enjoyed the trip a lot. We have covered our entire vacation driving our own vehicle with help of Google Maps. On very few occasions, we had to ask direction (Yes! Really!) from locals at shops (In India, It is very common to ask locals for further clarifications whenever we feel that Google Map has difficultly to provide directions for destination).
Unlike very few cases (where roads were very narrow & not frequently used by people), most of the time, we were depending on Google Map to guide us during whole journey of about 2100 KM. In Fact, Google Map also help us to erase our mistakes during the journey (e.g. forgot to take a turn, missed exits while crossing the junctions etc.) & informed us to come back to the correct route.
Anyway coming to the point of topic, though i have received a mail from Google Local Guide, to apply for the event “Connect Live 2019” participation. Still I was bit hesitant for applying to it. And also, As I was busy in planning my 2 week vacation, I have decided to apply post my vacations. I discussed it with family while returning back to home after vacations. My both daughters got very excited when they heard about it & more over, getting the chance to visit the Google Office.
I have told them, that few more activities to be completed as part of applications, especially the video creation. Then only, we could get the chance to go there. My elder daughter (Gaurangi) got very much excited to hear it & as soon as we reached back to home, she thought about the topic, video to be created on. Below image has been drawn by her on white board for it.
I just edited the picture to simplify the explanation to understand it better. While I tried to explain in detail below, what mesmerised me the most was, she came up with the complete thought very quickly, within hours of our discussion (she will complete 10 years in coming July 2019).
Infact, I was also thinking about some material to cover however she completed that within few hours. Below is the detail for each section:
