Dear Diary,
I’m sitting at my parent’s house because of the COVID-19 lockdowns here in Italy, and I’m looking at my contributions as a Local Guide. This helps me remembering how many places I visited during the last years, and most of the times I laugh a little bit when I read my reviews, recalling what I was thinking when I visited that place or when I ate in that restaurant. I like a lot to use Google Maps review as a sort of diary for myself and for the others.
Usually in my reviews I like to express a personal point of view giving some insights about why I was visiting the place and why I liked or disliked it. For example, some places are good to go with friends, some others alone in order to think and find yourself, others are perfect for a romantic dinner! Local Guides program means to help the others to find the right place for the right mood!
I like to think that for someone else, looking for a review or an advice for a place, it is funny and helpful to read a little bit of my story.
Now, diary, I must go! I have a video-call with one of the friends I usually meet at my favorite bar… Actually, I never reviewed that place, so it’s time to write a little bit of history here!
