I am a new contributor to Maps and I did 2 reviews so far. Unfortunately, none of them are publicly visible…
For one of them, I received an email saying that my comment had been flagged as spam, so I complained to Google, and yesterday they validated my comment. Unfortunately, they didn’t say anything about my comments being invisible…

I have seen other comments with the same issue but they are all more than 2 years old…

Sorry can’t show it in English anymore somehow… It just says that Google doesn’t verify the comments but can delete them if they are identified as malicious. You should have the same in your profile.
Anyway, it doesn’t explain why my comment aren’t public…

It would be really helpful if you would use the tagging tool when replying to someone here on Connect. Type @ followed by the username. Type slowly. Then we get an e-mail notification and you are more likely to get a prompt reply.
All my 615 reviews are public, so the link is not shown on my profile.
It is an automated proces and if it suspects you could be a spammer all your reviews will be hidden. Make sure you don’t have any conflicts of interest. Don’t review your own or friends’ businesses. Don’t write too long reviews. And don’t include offensive words.

What do you mean? My comments are supposed to be public.
I did only 2 comments so far, no personnal interest in any. As I said, one was wrongly flagged as spam by Google but I complained and they removed the blame (we were apparently multiple persons complaining about the same place at the same time…)

We don’t get to decide if our reviews are shown publicly or not. The spam filter does.
I looked over all the 77 reviews posted to the bikeshop and yours is not to be found. Only you can see it under your contributions.
I’m unsure if you have selected Restricted profile on Google Maps or not.
Having posted only two reviews (one strip club in Las Vegas and a bikeshop in Geneva) could be why the filter hid your reviews. Usually local guides make reviews that are not that far apart.
Read about typical review guideline violations here.
With so few reviews it could be that the spam filter will wait for more reviews from you.
Did you visit these 2 places recently in person? We should only share genuine experiences.

Well, if I take time to write detailed reviews but they are nowhere to be viewed, I guess my time with Maps ends here. I don’t see the point…
