You can find in Haifa the Carmelit - the Israel’s only subway system which travels up and down the mountain. Also, there is a Cable Car – one of the popular tourist attractions in Haifa. There are a few museum in Haifa and Haifa Educational Zoo which has unique location just on the slope of a mount.
One of the most interesting places in Haifa is downtown which has a mix of old and modern building and where you can find a lot of cafes, restaurants and pubs for everyone, artist galleries, fashion and jewelry boutiques and so on.
Haifa is a city of tolerance. You can find more about that in one of my previous post.
Haifa is a beautiful green city. There are a few ravines in Haifa which cut the city like a pie from the top of Mount Carmel toward the sea. You can find hiking trails in these ravines and take a walk in nature without going out of city.
If you are going to visit Israel don’t forget to include Haifa in your list.
Hi @Andrey_K ,
thank you very much for the interesting story about the sights of Haifa. I think every Christian and every Jew should visit Israel, including Haifa.
Thank you for your opinion @katydarhel . Israel is very beautiful and interesting country and it is the origin of main religions. I agree with you, Israel is worth a visit.
Thank you for these beautiful photos, I find them very well taken! Can you tell me more about the camera and the lenses you used? Did you use special settings or filters?
Haifa looks very nice and I would love to see it, hopefully soon since I’m planning to visit Israel in March. I’ll definitely use your helpful suggestions, thanks for that as well! You can take great photos so it seems you already know How to step outside your normal routine as a photographer.
Thank you for your comment. I bet you will like Israel. If you will have some questions or need recommendations about Israel, Haifa, or other places to visit feel free to contact me.
Regarding my camera, these photos were taken by Canon SX60 with a very slight edit in ACDSee.
Nice photos - thanx for sharing. I always wonder what looks like in Israel. Does it look like an Asian city, or European city or a Middle Eastern city? @Andrey_K
Thank you for your comment and your interest in Israel. It’s really difficult to say what style dominants here. I would say it’s rather a mix of Middle East and Europe. Also, it’s a mix of modernity and antiquity.
