My changes showing on map, but i see them still as pending

Hi, I’ve added some roads and road names in my neighborhood weeks ago. First attempt was not added to map, nor declined, its still pending. Anyway I made another improved edit later and all my changes from this edit has been showing on map for weeks now, but all my contributions are still in pending status.

What is happening? Is some local mod taking these changes from me and adding them as his own? Why are not my contributions at least declined? I’m pretty sure that these are my changes showing on the map, cos I added just few street names closest to me, and rest of the village is still missing them. I’m planning to add rest as well, but not until I’m sure what is happening to my contributions :-/

Hi and warm welcome on Local Guides Connect.

Unfortunately, this is a common and well-known problem, whether you are just starting to add your first routes or you already have many approved.

Sometimes the system is really slow and you lose your work (you know that after 90 days anything not approved will be deleted). In other cases, the approval process can go quickly.

Don’t worry about temporary problems and continue your work.

As I said, i dont have a problem of not having my changes on live map. The road names are updated, roads are added. It just doesnt show in my profile as approved.

@SholaIB may I ask you for help?

Hello @new.user and @Gaspo.sk

Editing street names are very doggy to do. Normally as I made inquiries we should be able to make changes to street names around us. Nevertheless, approvals are usually very low or none at all.

Regarding approvals and rejections,my advise is that, whatever you’re not able to edit as a local guide just move on. Don’t take it personal or get demotivated as a result of that. Ranging from roads,to new POIs,to street names etc. Rejections doesn’t always mean you’re wrong. It could be the system or even the team itself. If your claims can’t be verified that’s it. Sometimes approvals don’t always mean your edit is correct either. Especially on place creations and roads. As experienced editors we have seen wrong road edits accepted.

Therefore, there is alot to enjoy on the local guides scene. There is alot to demoralise you as well, but keep positive and cheer up. Regarding your changes that are not accepted but implemented, just let it go because you may not get an answer for it.

This may not really be a solution but it’s an answer anyway. Hope it helps you in a little measure.

Happy guiding
Cheers
