My beautiful Chiniot series

Chiniot (old name Chandaniot) was named after a Kings daughter who came here for Hunter expedition. charmed by the beauty of surrounding ,she ordered to construct a settlement here .This name was used until 1860 when it was renamed to Chiniot.

Situated on the bank of Chenab river, this city has a cozy and peaceful environment.

Umer Hayat Palace ,Shahi Mosque and River Chenab with a statue of Hindus “Lion God” on a hill, are major attractions.

Crossing the bridge of Chenab, Rabwa comes that’s the home to the Ahmadiya Muslims Worldwide movement.

Best time to visit Chiniot is March or October.(end of summer ,before starting of Winter)

The city lacks in accommodation facilities and tourists have to arrange their accommodation in Faisalabad from where they can go to Chiniot through private tours or local transportation.

40 km from Faisalabad, the average time to visit this city is 16 hours.

All attractions are free of cost but one has to pay for camel ride or boating in River Chenab.

Chiniot Kunna( a beaf made dish) and biryani are famous cuisine.

“Berfi” and “Pateesa” are famous sweets.

People are friendly and like to interact with tourists.

For foreigners,it’s inexpensive.

Just 15-20$ for a complete trip.(excluding transportation)

Best way to get here is through Faisalabad International Airport or Motorway M3 or GT Road.

The city is suitable for the lovers of
