#My Attended Meet-ups of 2019

Hello Local Guides!

As we all know that the year 2019 is going to end in few days so before it end I share the highlights of my attended meet ups (which i have attend in 2019), meet ups is always full of memories and lots of beautiful pictures stored in your cellphone/laptop/PC. Now it’s time to restore the pictures and join the hashtag #AttendedMeetUpsof2019 #Flashbackof2019 with me, so that our fellow local guides can also enjoy a large series of your attended meet ups under one post.

What you have to do?

Pick 4 to 5 pictures from every meet up (which you have attend in 2019) and then make a collage(by joining it) as you can see in the above header image also mention:

  • Type of meet up (Photo Walk, map editing meet up, food crawl, geo walk etc)
  • Date and location of attended meet up.
  • also a little description of every meet up in sequence.
  • Use the hashtag #AttendedMeetUpsOf2019 #FlashbackOf2019 in your post and also mention me by using my Connect Id, so that i can also see your meet up highlights which you have attended in 2019.

Now i’m going to share my attended meet ups series with you:

My first meet up:

The very first meet up was a very sweet one. Spicy Sunday a food crawl meet-up with my fellow local guides. On 9th June 2019, at 4.00 pm, a group of about 16 Local Guides met at Kakada Ramprasad, a foodie place in Chennai.

Yummy yummy loads of sweets and savouries.

I had the chance the meet the Local Guides @VickyKrish @Selvamani_R @Jose Benjamin @Rishi Sir, Lambert, Arun, and many others for the first time. We relished sandwiches, potato fries, almond milk etc. etc. The friendship still continues. Being my first meet-up, this one is very special to me and really a great memorable one.

India One Meet-up

After this wonderful meetup which left us with sweet memories, we had another meet-up on 28th July, 2019, afternoon at 2 o clock, by senior LG. The significance of this meet-up is to encourage and add new members to LG Connect. The senior LGs briefed us how to contribute and post quality photos to Google maps and also about 360 photography.

Here I had the chance to meet some senior LGs @TravellerG , Sir @RtnArulPrakasamT Sir @JohnPeter @PalaMee Sir @aaryesdee Sir and many others. We had a video conferencing session with other Local Guides.

The meet-up was very informative and we had a wonderful time. I could talk to LGs from North India also.

I am really very happy to say that from here I became an active member in #TeamIndia group formed by TravellerG for #TeamChallenge initiated by @ErmesT .

Divine Walk

My next best Meet-up I could say is the Divine Walk, on 28-7-2019 at 5.00 pm. It was also a photo walk through the streets, in Chennai where many places of worship were located. The shops in the street showcased many festivities. The roadside shops before the Temples which sold things required for offerings to God were simply superb.

We Local Guides walked through the busy streets and spent the whole evening, clicking pictures. Here in Chennai the climate in the evening will be fine to hang out with friends.

The next meet-up I was eagerly waiting to attend is the Rock and Learn Meet-up on 8th December, supported by Google. I couldn’t attend the Meet-up because I had to undergo surgery due to my fracture in my left leg. Sitting at home I was continuously following the pictures and videos, which were been posted by the attendees in the Album created for this purpose. This one I really feel very much for missing.

I am expecting to recover fast and become active again in the LG Connect.

Wishing everyone Merry Christmas and a very Happy and Wonderful Year 2020.

I also thank @IshantHP_ig for starting this thread.

Hello @Gurukrishnapriya Mam,

Great to see your post after a long time. Seems you enjoyed a lot in the meetups. I really liked the idea of a Divine Walk meetup and would like to do a similar one here in Delhi.

I pray for your speedy recovery and another new meetup from you.

Just want to let you know that recently I visited Tamil Nadu (Coimbatore, Trichy, Thanjavur) and heard about the Margazhi season. Seems it is somewhere related to the Carnatic Music. It would be great if you can some light into it.

Hi @Tushar18

Thank you very much. Yes we had a great time during our meetups.

What you told is correct. The Tamil month Margazhi is related to Carnatic music, classical dances, bhajans, visiting temples etc. This month ends and next month starts with the harvest festival Pongal Festival, (Sankranti festival) Yes I will post about this in TEAMINDIA.

Thanks again for your valuable feedback.

Even me @Mukesh71 .

I just started writing posts. Once I wrote a post about a Temple in Kanchipuram. One boy @VickyKrish replied to my post, since he is also from Kanchipuram. Thereafter I had the chance to meet him at a meet-up. He introduced me to this group. Feeling very happy to be in this group. There @Jose_G_Benjamin his brother and other LGs became friends
