And a new problem about contribution points!

After many changes and problems, I want to ask someone about my new problem!

I am a local guide.

At first, I was level 8, and had more than 19000 points. Then suddenly, I fall down to level 7 and about 12000 points.

In forums, they said, it’s about rule changing (without any alarm before). And go to your web activity and change it to save forever, otherwise you will lose all your answer’s points. And they said your missing points will not come back.

So, I did it. Although, I didn’t understand why all of my web and app activity must save forever. But I did it.

After that, I had some problems with my photo views.

And now!

New problem. I miss my answer’s point after few hour.

In fact, I answer some questions, I got points, but after some hours, points fly out!

It means, it’s completely wasting time answer question.

Is there any help or solution?

@hadeesj Did Google tell you if those points are from your Q&A activity? Your reply will be useful for us, so we know where the points are from when we lose those points.

Then check your My Activity settings.

Google did not tell me nothing! I see my detailed points in my page. Q&A points increase first, but they decrease after some hours.

I have read it before. I explain completely everything.

I did enable my activity, I did change it to save forever.

This problem happens in some hours.

For example, if I do not answer any question my point is stable, if I answer, my points decrease, after some hours, come back to some hours ago, when I didn’t answer those questions

Hi @hadeesj thanks for adding the screenshots. I see that you’ve changed your MyActivity to forever, what was it before you changed it?

I know what you mean. It was 3 months before. And I miss 8000 points and my level. I change It about two weeks ago.

But this problem happens after changing.

It might be still catching up with your old settings @hadeesj so while it seems that you are using the answers you’ve added you might still be losing old ones that fit the time frame before it was changed. Give it a couple of days and if it is still happening let me know. Hopefully it will come good. I’ve not seen anyone else experiencing your issue - which makes me think it might just be taking a while. We can hope anyway.

I know what you mean, but I am sure it’s not about old points. It’s about new point.

But because of you said, I will try it some days later again and tell you.

Did you ever figure out what was going on? I had over 1600 answers and this morning I saw they dropped to less than 600. I haven’t deleted any my activity data or deleted any answers. I’m not sure why I am not receiving points for my contributions.
