My all Google Map edits instantly showing that message: “Not Applied”. This happens on every edit I initiate for locations such as name, category, Website etc. From the speed of the response, I am assuming that there is a problem with my account for edits. This happens both desktop or mobile versions of Google Maps. How can I rid out from this issue so that I can suggest edits and actually have a chance to see them implemented? I need some guidance on what is happening and the direction I need to proceed.
Please suggest me that what is wrong in my account.
Hello @AmitabhDey , there are other LGs from various country also have been experiencing this issue. I believe this is caused by the system bugs. Hopefully it will return to normal soon.
Immediately after reading the post, I just encountered a wrong translation of “Laxmi Narayan” as “लक्ष्मी नरयन” at one of the places.
I suggested to change that to “लक्ष्मी नारायण”.
I got a response within five minutes saying that “Your edit is now live.”
So I do not see any hold on edits.
At the same time, recently some deceitful characters did some misleading changes in telephone numbers and web addresses which led some gullible persons to fall in their trap.
So, an increased due diligence for such changes is justifiable.
Please don’t worry. There is a huge amount of reason for Google to reject an edit, and this is for sure not because of you.
It is very common for a Local Guide to think that as “I am in front of the business, I have the right information” the edit should be automatically approved and, if this is not happening “it is because I am blocked”. It is not like this.
Several times an edit needs a confirmation from other sources. Some kind of POI is very sensitive (like ATM, Banks or public offices). Some POIs is managed by the owner through Google My-business. So it is not because of you, it is because of the POI itself.
Now I am sure that Google blocked my “ADD & Edit” option. From 5th of June, 2019 Google not approved a single Edit. Every Edit shows “Not Applied” within a minute. This things never happened with me before.
Before June, 2019 Google approved my 3744 Edits and also approved 166 Added-Places.
Now Google also stopped publishing my Photos on Map. I can upload photo, but photos are not available on Map.
I have uploaded 2060 Photos on Map included with 741 Street-View Photos. I have also create 5 Virtual Tour on Map. Total Photo Views crossed 8 Million with 206 Likes.
Now Google stopped publishing my photo also.
Now my capabilities on Map are just writing reviews and Answering Questions.
I don’t know what wrongs with me.
I had stopped capturing 360 Degree Photos.
I am waiting for a mail from Google about my Blockage.
