India is known for its spiritual knowledge and enlightenment. The rich cultural heritage of India owes to the presence of large number of Temples and the role they played and are playing in the Indian society. Temples in India have extreme significance as they are valued and respected as a means of enabling worship, as a way to uphold Indian culture and tradition and also as a means to integrate and develop the communities and the country as a whole.
There are thousands and thousands of temples all over India - big and small, famous temples and local small temples etc. Most of the temples do not have a web-page of their own so it is difficult to get the information about a particular temple. One has to rely on the help of locals to provide the information of the temples but this is not a feasible always. In this context, I aim to provide information in google maps about the temples that I come across and visit so as to help others identify the temples, give more information about the temples and ultimately, make their visit to the temple a pleasant one. I try to gather as much information about the temple as possible, take as many detailed pictures/videos of the temple and update all the details in google maps.
