Dear fellow Local Guides,
Last week I went to West Bengal, India and today I’m going to share my traveling experience with you. Though it was a very short trip, but it was a tremendous experience for me. I’ve tried to go many places to explore Kolkata. I hope my all Local Guides friends will like my traveling experience. My trip was started from Dhaka Cantonment Railway Station (Dhaka, Bangladesh) by Maitree Express Train at 8:10 am (03 Dec 2017).
I reached the Kolkata (Chitpur) Railway Station at 5:15 pm (Indian Time). Then I reached my uncle house at 7:10 pm. On the next day, (04 Dec 2017) I started my travel and went to visit Kali Temple. It’s near to Kalighat Metro Station. Then I go to Lake Mall and it’s also near to Kalighat Metro Station.
On 2nd day at first, I went to visit Kolkata GPO. I also visited Nakhoda Masjid (Mosque) that day. This mosque was built in 1926 and it is the Largest Mosque in Kolkata, West Bengal.
Then I visited the most popular Heritage Building in West Bengal Jorasanko Thakur Bari. ( Rabindranath Tagore’s Ancestral House ). Entry fee: INR 30. Here, photography is not allowed. But if you buy a ticket with 50 rupees then you can take pictures.
On the 3rd day, I went to visit Kolkata Medical College. Then next at first, I went to Ramakrishna Mission Swami Vivekananda’s Ancestral House (Museum). Entry fee: INR 10. Here, inside the museum “Photography is not allowed”. Then I went Raja Rammohun Roy Memorial Museum for exploring. Entry fee: INR 10. Here, photography is not allowed. But if you buy a ticket with 50 rupees then you can take pictures.
Finally, I visited Rabindra Sarobar Lake. It is a large lake and also an attractive place for photography. There is no any entry fee.
On 8th December 2017, I come back to Dhaka, Bangladesh by train from Kolkata, West Bengal, India.
That’s all about my 7th trip in Kolkata, West Bengal, India. And now I’m sharing those places that I have visited.
